Home Remedies For Knee Pain


Knee pain is very common now a days and it is difficult to bear as restricts the movements of the body by making it difficult to walk, kneel or bend on them. This pain may be due to an injury of the ligaments or tendons around the knee joint or because of arthritis, degeneration, dislocated knee cap etc. Pain and Swelling due to degenerative changes and inflammation are the common symptoms of knee pain.

Natural remedies


  1. 1.   Turmeric: Turmeric is very good anti allergic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It is extensively used in daily food that is cooked at every home. It’s not only because of its rich color and aroma, but also considering its holistic properties. It is being used over the ages for combating inflammation and pain.

If the knee pain is acute, apply a pack of turmeric along with lime powder for instant relief.  Apply this pack on the affected area and leave it over night.


  1. 2.   Garlic : Fry garlic in sunflower oil and apply it on the affected area if there is only pain in knee joint. It will give instant relief in the pain.
